Man found unconscious in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital

GUWAHATI: Workers at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) found a person in an unconscious state inside the campus on Friday.

The identity of the person could not be established. The medics rushed him to the emergency care ward for treatment. According to reports, the person is thought to have jumped off the top of the GMCH building. The police identified the person as Garga Patowary, a resident of Sarthebari in the Barpeta district. The person is 48 years old. He was at the GMCH as an attendant of another patient, Maheswar Deka, under treatment in the cardiology ward.

The condition of Patowary is critical, said the Superintendent of GMCH.
